typical reply from you.

Much is given much is expected.
Just another way Les earns his money. Winning is certianly the most important thing, but its not the only thing.

This LSU program is bigger than Les Miles and any player. While I appreciate the fact that Les is a father figure to these kids that's not really the issue in this case. Don't make it too complicated. Les has a rule to follow curfew. The rule is in place for a reason. We are seeing an example of why the curfew was in place in this present situation. Les has to insist these players follow his rules. If any player on this team feels these rules are too difficult to follow or they don't apply to them personally then they should be asked to leave the program. Some players may be given a second chance but with the understanding they are not too important to follow the rules.

How could you? Dude has tons of other players to look after, all of which are mostly teenagers in college...he can't help kids wanting to be kids. If they want to sneak out and blow off steam in a social setting, they're going to do it. Their decisions in such setting should be in no way, a direct reflection on Miles and how he tries to lead this team.

As I said before if these players feel these rules are impossible or too difficult to follow then they should feel free to leave the program. They are not bigger than the program. Les will be the one to give out the punishment unless the law has to deal with some of them. If Les doesn't insist his players take his directives seriously this problem will resurface again at another time. It will all play out.

it sounds like this particular instance was a tradition not unlike "senior skip day" in high school, technically against the rules but everyone knows it's going to happen.

I love Les Miles. Kick off all the dumbasses who thought it would be wise to gang up on a guy at a bar (even if he deserved it or not). They should have the wherewithal to realize that they would be noticed and that this would be a huge fricking deal.

Les Miles has nothing to do with this, and it does suck he has to deal with this garbage of a situation now.
