really makes you respect floridas offense though. they can take a handoff for 90+, take a slant for 90+, take a screen for 90+, and burn our DB's and make an easy catch. hell theyre so fast they sometimes outrun the ball and have to wait for it to get there. Like I said, "glorified RB's" but to call florida WR U is retarded. if they truly were GREAT wr's like this guy is saying then florida would have great WR's in the NFL which they DON'T. they have system guys and thats it.

LSU has always had a very balanced offense, so when you are running the ball 50% of the time the receivers are not going to have a chance to put up All-American numbers. That doesn't mean that they are not great receivers, because we sure have had a lot of 1-2nd round draft picks from the position here recently.

Actually Florida has been balanced as well. Go back to 1990 to present, you will find that Florida actually has run the ball 51% to pass 49%. So your arguement doesn't hold up as far as the reason that Florida has better production from its receivers.

In the pre-Spurrier years, the receivers at Florida didn't put up eye-popping stats. They got superior production from their receivers once Spurrier instituted his offense. However, almost all of those guys flopped in the NFL.

You are either flaming to pass the time, incredibly biased, or have no idea what you are talking about. I really can't figure out which one though.

I'm not ignoring anything... I'm not disputing that Florida gets a lot of their recievers to the pros. Typical Gator fan who doesn't know what a fact is.

If you go before Spurrier, then you have Wes Chandler, Cris Collinsworth, Nat Moore, Ricky Nattiel, and Ernie Mills to start with.

Chad Jackson-3 seasons in the NFL

14 receptions for 171 yards in his entire career. Has caught 1 pass in the last 2 seasons.

Craig Davis-2 seasons in the NFL

24 receptions for 247 ywards. He looks like a bust, certainly. However, there are 5 or 6 Florida receivers with even worse stats, while he is the worst guy out of LSU.

Agreed. But I'm not an LSU fan. Your defense of a bust was weak.

Florida isn't WR U, Miami is.

Come on, man. Each of your posts is worse than the other. Wes Chandler is the best receiver from Florida. He is a Pro Bowler and borderline Hall of Fame guy, possibly. But look at his Florida stats. He caught 92 passes in his entire career because he was in a balanced system that didn't inflate the numbers of their receivers. Collinsworth caught 120 passes and 14 touchdowns during his entire career. Again, he is a great player.

Then Spurrier came in, and guys like Jacquez Green and Reidel Anthony, who couldn't do anything in the pros, started to blow away those numbers.

If you would have read the entire post I stated earlier if you are go by the transition to the NFL than Miami or Ohio ST would have the title. I'm just saying.

If you read the thread, we started off talking about college production and the rantards on here couldn't make an arguement for college production because there was no comparison so everyone jumped on the NFL production bandwagon as a defense so I countered with WES and those guys.

But you just said that Florida had a great record of production before Spurrier came. That's completely false. Great receivers like Chandler and Collinsworth were averaging 30 or 35 receptions a year. Spurrier came in and installed an offense that made previous statistics irrelevant, much like June Jones, Mike Leach, and the guy who coaches Mount Union.
