So basically, we have no clue who will or won't be eligible for the game, correct? The players on the scout team, in theory, can still start against us on Sep. 4th

Not intended as a flame or inflamatory but, CBS Sprots reporting that 4 starters on defense have been cleared. They report 7 starters on defense in trouble, Burney and brown already kicked off the team. It has been reported that 9 players have been religated to the scout team. Sad day.
I have read the whole thread and as of now this what they've got.

If the decision is up to the "school" as the report says, hmmmmm let's say...i bet all of them will be in the starting line up
When it comes to UNC I would bet not. They take their academics pretty serious there.

This. UNC is, year in and year out, considered one of the best public universities in the country.
My wife is a UNC alum. When she heard about the allegations, her reaction was, "Well, if it's discovered that they committed academic fraud, then they'll get kicked out of school."
