if no change in the defensive staff especially at DC, miles is gone after next season, they will go 6-6 another 7-5 will be a good season with same DCs or either one

...sure we got smoked in 3 games this year. But, we should have taken down both bammer and arky. The ole piss loss came at the heels of the disappointing loss to bammer...and to a talented, very well coached team.

We've got a great recruiting class lined up...Jefferson came into his own against Arky...he'll be ready for next season...he knows the system and will have an entire Spring to fine tune things. I'm certain Crowton will groom him and shape the offense around him.

The sky is not falling. Just chill out.
Thanks for trying to be positive but most here just like to wallow in self pity.
I am very excited about the kids we have coming in next year. I think we have some great times ahead for this team.
A new DC will instill discipline into a defense with a lot of talent and atheleticism.
The team needs positive fans. This is my team win or lose. I am behind them 100%. LSU has too much to lose to let this program fail.
As far as the Bandwagon fans..Time for them to abandon ship anyways.

But it is very cloudy with a good chance of severe thunderstorms and possible tornados.

One 7-6 year does NOT signal the end of a program. I know patience is not this board's strong suit, but we're just gonna have to wait till the middle of the 2009 season before we boot Miles out of BR ... or, if the team is winning, get down on our little knees in contrition. Possible 2009 scenarios:

7-6: Sorry, but at $4 mil per year, we should expect a lot more from our coach. Adios, Les.
8-5: Depends. 8-4 with noticable improvement and a competitive bowl loss to a decent team—well, I'll give him another year to get us back to 10+ wins.
9-4: Looks good for 2010.
10 or more wins: Apologize to Les, children, you were wrong.

Bottom line for me: At $4 mil per year, I expect a pretty significant turn around in 2009. Not necessarily an SEC West title, but enough improvement so I can see us as the frontrunners in 2010

ahh...finally someone with a sense of proportion. well said

I guess you did not want to fire Laval when he was canned. Les Miles = Larry Coker at best. I support L.S.U. and the players but not Miles. I have been saying this for his entire tenure here. Good man, great recruiter, Les than average coach at best. After listening to Miles speak, is it me or am I dumber than before...

horseshite! From where I am sitting, I am seeing a nuclear mushroom going up. This season was a comedy of errors and reflect some damn poor judgment. I will have to see any changes to believe otherwise.
