THE SEC WANTS A DIVORCE? LSU GETS CUSTODY OF THE TV RIGHTS!

LSU received roughly $72.4 million from the SEC last year. Serious money, but that includes more than television.
Notre Dame reportedly earns about $50 million annually from NBC for six home football games. LSU ranked sixth in 2025 television tracking, averaging more viewers than Notre Dame.
Now add LSU baseball, women’s basketball, gymnastics, LSU+ content, sponsorships and premium games on ABC, Netflix or Prime.
Then there is LSU’s reported investment plan: approximately $100 million for a 9% stake. That implies a company valued near $1.1 billion, with LSU potentially retaining about 80%.
The SEC check provides stability. Owning the media company creates generational upside.
So if the SEC wants LSU gone, it cannot keep making money from LSU after the divorce.
Give us Death Valley. Give us our television rights. Let the bidding begin.
Geaux independent. Geaux national. Geaux build something bigger.

Nobody with a pulse will play us out of conference. We will be lucky to get one marquis game a year.
The big time out of conference games this year have been scheduled for years. In fact the ones in the future are being cancelled because there is no incentive to play them with the format of the cfp and 9 conference games.
Why schedule a Big Time LSU Program and risk losing when the real game is to get to 10 wins and make the playoffs?
We will need a conference affiliation. I’d want the Big 10.
