Our signature win so far was a last-minute defensive collapse by UGA who will most likely never see the Top 25 again this season.

Bama is king. We're in decline. We haven't developed a QB, Our OL ad DL not stacked up as with Saban's players. Play calling is questionable. We can't seem to utilize our talent. I don't think any team fears us because we don't dominate. Hope we can rise up but weather we do or don't, Saban at Bama is irrelavent. Miles has lead us back on top.

I must be the perpetual optimist but I think the Tigers have resolve, as Les mentioned after one game (can't recall which one now). They did not play well against Florida offensively, but I they've shown flashes of a pretty good offense at times. I absolutely hate the "check the sidelines" play-calling and truly believe that has something to do with the problems. How can the offense get in a rhythm when they get set, stop and check the sidelines for the call, then set up and snap the ball? The times they've looked the best have been when they didn't have time for that crap and they just called the play and went with it.
Tell you what, though. I miss Will Muschamp. I'd like to see that guy back on the LSU sidelines.

What do you base this prediction on? As of now I do not see how LSU will even score a touchdown against Bama's defense. I would not be surpised for LSU to lose all of the SEC games on the schedule if Miles and Crowton don't make adjustments on the offense.

I hate it too, but that's the offense we currently run. But as I said earlier in either this thread or another, since our defense has trouble getting stops on third down, we have to make the most of each offensive drive but it's not happening.

Write this when his recruiting actually wins him a National Championship or does not choke in the SECCG or Sugar Bowl..

Oh boy, you sure set yourself up for this one. Saban's recruiting has won two national championships at LSU.

The post was concerning his recruiting at Bama not LSU. I'm not ready to declare his Bama teams as GOLD just yet. Lets see them prove it just as LSU did!

Anyone that knows saban or football or anything about alabama football knew he would succeed there and would likely win or at least play for a nc within five years. those who also know these things know nick will never retire in tuscaloosa. The rise of the tide was coming sooner or later and does not cause the fall of the lsu tiger. The auburn tiger maybe. Also I repeat for the thousandth time they wil lose before the second championship game

According to some of these posts, I think some fans have thrown in the towel...we are doomed according to them...Grim Reaper, where ya at?...

You need to look at things reasonably. Here is the deal, just because I may believe LSU is currently in a downward trend, does not mean I believe they are horrible, 1990s bad. It means that they are no longer one of THE ELITE. Conversely, Bama is perhaps replacing us as the SEC West's Elite program. You can deny it all you want, but that does not mean it is not true.
Well and good sonnyboy. But the fact remains that you could be totally and completely wrong. The problem with you and those of your ilk is that you present your suppositions as absolute fact.

It looks damn good when compared to LSU's
Compare their Sophomore and Freshmen running backs to LSU's freshmen, or to LSU's Senior running backs.
Next season Bama will have at least two running backs capable of making All SEC or All American. LSU will have several backs with almost no experience.
Black and Scott's production this year probably makes them wonder why they didn't go to the NFL early. I wonder how many Juniors will consider Scott and Black's decision and how it affected them when draft time comes around.
You forgot to tell us all what nick the midgets dick tastes like.

quote:This is how I see it- only the coaches can down play & lose with our current players/recruits. We have a lot of talent on offense. I have my questions about Jefferson, but it seems to me, maybe Miles & Crowton are just plain stubborn, and continue to have JJ working an offensive set that is not designed for him or he simply is incapable of running...all the more reason to try Shep or Lee, to see what can happen. Damnit!! Our offense can't get much worse, has already cost us one game this season- how many more before they try something different?? Any kind of offense, & we would have won the Florida game, but again, JJ plays the whole game & just looks out of sync...Something is wrong here- but is it JJ, coaches, or both??
I'm not ready to say LSU's decline; I'm more ready to say to Coach Miles - wake up and see the talent you're wasting on this team! Coach them up and LSU will be on top for years to come

I think most people on this board would admit that when Saban finally landed at Bama they were (1) angry, and (2) certain that he could not attain the level of success at Bama that he did at LSU.
Are you fricking stupid? Who in the frick thought that? Everyone knew it was just a matter of time. Bama is one of the premiere programs in the country. Anyone who can recruit, can recruit to Bama.
Your premise is fricking stupid and wrong.

Just give it time. As it always does, Bama will soon have a bad season and the fans will turn on "Lord Saban" quicker than you can say moving on. I live here and know first had how it goes. Just ask Bill Curry. He went 11 and 1 and got fired because he could not beat Auburn.
