When saban called our fans out for exhibiting the "catastrophe syndrome", he was right and he changed the culture of our football program. Can't wait for that to happen to LSU basketball, out with the old, in with the new!

quote:

You had this problem with football until Saban came along. Saban was that force of nature who eliminated the bad culture and installed a good culture.

You see Mulkey doing it on the women's side.

So what you're saying is ... all we have to do is hire the greatest Men's Basketball coach of our generation.

Sounds like a great plan!!

No, he's saying we need to hire a qualified coach with the backbone to stand up to, and work through the bs politics swirling around LSU basketball. Oh, and it wouldn't hurt if the AD could find his balls and support said coach.

I'm NOT saying everything he posts is gospel, or he's perfect, but I can PROMISE YOU Scott has forgotten more about the inner workings of LSU sports than you or I could ever dream to know. When he posts something, it has credibility. I wish he'd post a lot more.

That's not quite what happened, but close. Emmert and Cusimano went to the BOS and Boosters and essentially told them how things were going to be. Because Saban would not come if he had good ole boy influence on the program and everyone from LSU wanted Saban that day in Memphis.

Saban did not have any run ins with boosters because they were contained on the front end.
