The positives (and one negative) from last night

This team was dominating Georgia in the first quarter before the field goal fiasco. Huge momentum swing. Georgia and the crowd are suddenly back in the game. That’s a 10 point swing gifted to UGA. What does LSU do? Drive right down the field against that defense to tie it up. Then there’s the freak interception that gives UGA a short field and another td. JD reinjures his ankle and loses his mobility, which is a large part of our offense and made us one-dimensional. Those are freak, HUGE momentum swings on the biggest stage that would suck the life out of most teams. That’s 17 points gifted to the number 1 team in the country. We lost by 20. This team never quit, despite EVERYTHING around them telling them it just wasn’t their day. LSU kept getting off the mat and kept coming. That’s toughness. That’s culture. I was proud of the way those guys kept fighting.
The other huge positive for me was the o-line. That group (with true freshman) held up against that Georgia defensive front when they KNEW we were throwing the ball. We passed for 500+ yards against that defense, had more total yards and outscored them in the 2nd half. And again, they KNEW we were throwing and still couldn’t stop this team.
The one huge negative? Special teams again. IMO, 3 of our 4 losses are on the special teams. If we have even solid (not great) special teams, we win one of those games and are in the other two. Not saying we win, but we would have had a chance. Special teams changed the complexion of all three games. Something needs to change. That is a huge albatross around LSU’s neck.

Dude. Georgia could have hung 65 on us. Outside of one drive in the second half, they played really conservative.
Positive: the offense is ready and able to open up the passing game. Just need a qb who wants to be aggressive.
Negative: special teams and lack of depth/talent. Particularly lbs and safeties.
Georgia was just better. Noticeably.

Negative: everything else

Agree on all this, some major MAJOR gifts but despite the score we kept fighting that gives me so much hope and excitement!! No give keep going to the whistle and do t look at the score absolutely love the fight
I’d add idk how I feel about nuss, GA was playing prevent defense and giving tons of space and he was capitalizing over top so idk what to think about him it was impressive

I don’t disagree with you that Georgia was the better team. I do think that game looks different if LSU connects on that fg and that freak interception doesn’t happen. Georgia still probably wins, but LSU would have been in the game, imo. This two thing’s completely changed the game.

Special teams once again flipped a game for us in the wrong direction. We certainly beat fsu and not sure we beat uga ultimately but it certainly killed the momentum we built up.

DAMN F’ing PROUD. LSU LSU I didn’t understand how all this about we still would have lost but Mo is real and plays a huge role in any game but especially the biggest and those freak plays , well really the blocked FG “knew it was going to happen “ Sp. Ed coach can’t tell players to see what’s happening, bad coach, anyway yeah lucky for Ga ball bounced their way, not to take away the fact they are Damn good and deep but F uuuu cccc

Yeah lots of positives. We need some four and five stars recruits and some depth. It’s as much or more about the Jimmies and the Joes as it is about the X’s and the O’s at the college level. We need a top five class that meets our needs on the lines, lb’s , secondary and a stud running back. Need more depth just about everywhere

How in the world did you get on TD? You sound like a real Tiger fan with common sense.

Agree with all of this. We were never going to overcome the momentum swing of that blocked kick and helmet interception. UGA is good enough already without getting every single lucky bounce.
