Yes. I went through medical school, and yes, I'm picking App State.
To me, it doesn't imply stupidity, ignorance or a suspension of reality - it's a feeling (and probably more than a little steeped in school pride).
Most of my med school was Ivy Leaguer's - but a couple of students went to LSU or Michigan (I was certainly the only person from Appalachian State) - so I've got quite a few people to serve me crow if things get ugly this weekend.

I'm gonna go 38-17. We should be able to beat them a little sounder than Georgia Southern did on their home field (38-35) or than the Wofford Terriers (42-31) did last year. I dunno, should I give more credence to the 48-7 shellacking they handed Lenoir-Rhyne?

I seriously hope App State Fans understand LSU will win this game. I give App State enough credit to say they may score 17 points. I give LSU enough credit to say we will score more than 17 points, more specifically 34...with starters not playing during the 4th quarter.

Look for LSU to rack up over 350 yards rushing in this game. We'll probably pass for another 150 or so.
For them, a one man wrecking crew. Stop him and it's a long long night for Appy State. A really good test for our defense, especially run defense. Lots of option plays I would suppose we will see from them.
