How Francois plays most of the game makes no sense,Baker is to small as are our ends,we desperately need help at those positions

Losing Montgomery was a bigger loss than most expected.

He doesn't. Tyrann plays more, but Francois was not good this year. I wouldn't be surprised if Barrow pushes for his starting spot next year

Our best DE going down for over half the season was pretty huge

Francois and Baker have a year to bulk up

Where was this sage insight when our defense was shutting everybody down?

our small front 7 have been talked about since fall practice. Nothing new. The 90 yard game clinching fg drive where we were dominated up front was reminiscent of the drive we gave up to florida at the end of the game and is the reason people are worried about it. When your ends are 240 250 and your OLB are 215 220 its not going to be hard for 290-300lb offensive lineman and 265lb FBs to dominate and wear them down. Arkansas consistently ran at mingo and francois/mathieu side of the field.

Not just because of the last game but of the whole body of work during the course of the year,if sticking dbs at LB was such a great idea name all the other schools doing it.Losing Montgomery was huge but he is only 1 player,Adams,Edwards are just to small to play as much as they do and Chauncy is to slow.

We had Hatcher taking the wrong route to the ball on two of the TDs. And he injured his own man.

If Hatcher had not played, LSU wins that game.

ANYONE could have done better.

And yes, they are smallish. Its the system.

10-2 is pretty good. We missed Montgomery.

on that one drive late where they were really cramming it down our throats, we had the 2nd string DL in, and they're more smallish than the 1st. Downs and Mingo particularly. I think some (if not all) of the starters came back in after the TO.

Monty and Lavar Edwards with Mingo on 3rd down is our best rotation. Words cant describe how much Sam was missed this year. With Sam and Lavar, you have two guys that are around 260, and thats plenty big for a DE. Ego can play some DE too, and he is around 285, so size at that position wont be too much of an issue.

Although, the OLBs were the worst part of our team this year by far and we need to do a better job of recruiting that position. Trevon Randle coming in will help and Baker will be allright but Barrow should be playing in Francois place.

no doubt and im not hating on the defense, they played great all year and were the only reason we were worth a shite. Chavis has done a good job Im just not completely sold on the whole small front 7 stopping the run with numbers thing.

T Randle is going to the middle per Chavis... Barrow cant play SAM...cant cover a tree!..plus he plays the WILL Backer..

Randle needs to be wherever he can get on the field quickest, and Craig Loston should be in Francois place.
