A recruit once asked Les Miles if his real name was "Leslie". Les Miles didn't answer. He just stared at him until he committed.

Although he has the 'want' to succeed with logical decision making, he would much rather squeak by with the illogical.

He once "squished" his opponent with his patented celebratory fist pump.

He has the want to make people think he is talking about something in particular when fact he speaks in tongues so that people can not figure him out.

....and just when he starts to make any sense, he strikes with an ancient caveman language that has yet to be deciphered!

He once made a qb think he was going in on the next series only to disarm him with his looks.

He uses the terms "want", "comfortable", "capable" and "enjoy" in ways that not even he can decipher.

He squanders talent in a manner not seen since Warren Beatty in Ishtar.

As a Dallas Cowboy tight ends coach Les once attended a party at the home of former Cowboy great Michael Irvin where he gave advice to another guest the 46th Governor of the great state of Texas, "When facing a tough opponent remember to develop damn strong strategery!"
