It's a joke. I'm going to repeat this again for TE last time.
Henry has 300 more rush yards and 2 more TDs than Tre Mason did back in 2013 at this same point in time. So about 300 more yards from scrimmage when you add in receiving was enough for Henry to become #1?
Trey Mason finished 6th in heisman voting
Again in 2013, Jameis Winston finished with an impressive season, went undefeated, and won the conference championship. He was the overwhelming winner of the heisman. So here in 2015 Deshaun Watson with damn near the same total yards, TDs, in the same division, won the conference championship, undefeated....finished 3rd????
For a cherry on top, AJ McCarron had 2676 yards passing and 26 TDs (no other stats outside passing), yet somehow he finished 2nd in heisman voting???
Mark Ingram in 2009 over Gerhart who had 1903 yards from scrimmage and 27 total TDs in 12 games compared to Ingram's 1864 yards from scrimmage and 18 total TDs in 13 games (all these stats come before heisman award show) ???
What about McCoy in 2009 who played for undefeated Texas completing 70% of his passes for 3512 yards and combining for a total 3960 yards from scrimmage and 30 TDs?
It all leads to one thing people...

Not nearly as worthless as this thread.

Would be nice if ranters who could never fathom being in a Heisman discussion leave it to those players that are to decide whether it's a worthless award or not.
Ironic that the voters aren't players. I think most fans feel the award is a big deal, but voters not necessarily fair. For instance-- Peyton Manning should have won his senior year. Some winners deserving, some not so much. Some an outright disgrace. Names are omitted to protect the guilty. Lol

Worthless? No
Overhyped? Absolutely. Its basically the best QB or RB on a top 10 team and nothing more.
