It really isn't all that surprising. The SEC is wanting to change the narrative by changing defendants and adversary.
Up to now it's been the players suing the NCAA and subsequently the league when it made their new rule barring players attempting to go pro and then coming back to college. They have not faired well so far.
They are trying to come at this from a different legal angle by suing the school and coach. Their biggest problem in this one are facts. The accusations, I believe are false.

He called it around 7 am this morning and it didn’t show up on Pacer until close to noon.
