the grand QB conspiracy

Maybe this has been posted already, but if so I missed it.
So Jefferson starts and plays most of the game against WKU; what is interesting is HOW each QB was used. JJ spent most of his game working on his passing game (in other words, Lee's area); and Lee then comes in and runs some options (Jefferson's game).
Maybe there is not much more than:
an overmanned opponent, a chance to scrimmage and get things ready for the stretch? Looking at things this way, it makes sense- prior to this game both QBs were obvious in what they would do. Against WKU and likely Ole Miss, that isn't an issue. Against Arky, UGA and Ok St (or whoever), it could be. Good teams can plan for different packages.
You know JJ can run the option, and prepare for that. Give him a game to polish the passing (and he did look pretty good), and you have to respect the pass too. Especially the deep routes.
You know Lee can run a pro set/play-action game; for what it's worth he was acceptable on the option runs. Not Vick-like (or even JJ caliber), but I've seen worse. You needed the option to beat Bama, so it made sense to at least give a hint of it with Lee too.
Regardless of any other reason why qb A started over qb B, I COULD see why they each were used the way they were. Makes sense on the amount of time each played too; JJ needed more time to get a passing rhythm and get more looks (Lee's had all season). and Lee merely needed to demonstrate he was quick enough to get to the edge, and could make a decent pitch.
I don't really care who starts the games, as long as we finish it on top. Playing things this way was the best for the team- neither guy has a potential NFL career to ruin, only 4 more games to play and win. It makes more sense to establish JJ's passing game against WKU than on the road against Ole Miss, or against top 10 teams. Given that we may well face Bama again, it definitely makes sense to show that Lee can run the option (to take off some heat), and that JJ can pass (to keep them from closing the option completely).
Pretty random thoughts, I know; but just my observations

Agreed. This hate JJ/JL thing should have passed into oblivion long ago. I don't care of your Aunt Maude plays as long as LSU wins. It's really sad when fans let their personal feelings tarnish what LSU has going on this year.
You don't like Jefferson? Put it in a sock and get over it because he is going to play and contribute.

Your live will be a lot less frustrating if you can just do this.

I was about to give you an "not this shite again", but I read on.
I was actually thinking the same thing, but not until JL ran some option.

Mett will start the remainder of the year. It will shock them.

Usually vs a overmanned opponent a coach practices his #2s (or 3s). Hence, Blue gets a lot of work.
But in the case of QB, it's not like either of ours are totally polished. Both could use work.
And so we did.
I think you're right.

Scoob,
After reading and thinking about the situation, you are correct. They did play opposite rolls to what they have shown and were expected of. I do trust Miles, and the coaching decisions that they make. I was at the game and witness 3-4 easy coverage reads that JJ missed and 1 for sure would have been 6 points up the left hash mark.
I guess we just have to keep trustin them!

From your vantage point of???????????? It's way easy to see things from the upper deck or on the replay. Of course he and all QB's mis read coverages. But to sit at your desk and pretend that you know more is just foolish and you should know that.
