What do you base this on? I annihilated you on a numbers base. Are you going to start using unquantifiable aspects like Leadership, Football Smarts, etc?

Just said that he shouldn't be considered a great QB based on his play so far.
Nobody is saying he is a great QB. I am saying he did great, based on what he had around him. Chiefly an interior line that showed an absolute inability to block YOU, much less an NCAA lineman. . .and a non-existent running game.

Tulane benched their starting QB and went with a RSFr for the last 6 games. JJ started 11 games. So if Tulane's QB threw 9 TDs in 6 starts he had a 1.5 TD avg, JJ = 1.45. I've already told you his passing avg over 6 starts was 190+ yds compared to JJ's 170+. And did I forget to mention that he was a RSFr who played without award winning O Lineman, and 1st rd. draft picks at the skill positions?

Hey Roaad, hows it feel to get your arse whipped?

Look, going back and reading some of your posts on this thread...even though I have given you a few of these (Mostly for your attitude), I don't think that we are that different in our opinions.

You say that all of poor offensive production shouldn't be place on the shoulders of JJ.
I agree with that sentiment. I just think you may have gone over the top in praise of JJ, just like some have gone way too far in blaming him.

Instead you choose to place it all on the O-line.
I disagree here for the same reason that you disagree with someone placing it all on JJ. I am just saying that they are all to blame for the poor play and should share the blame (even though I hate to use that word when I do believe they are giving it all of their effort) equally as both the O-line and QB play could stand improvement.

Again, more experience in both areas would and hopefully will help make them into a better TEAM next year.

Guess you ran out of bullshite now and this is all you got?

Expecially since I just pointed out that you are guilty of essentially the same thing that you have been flaming everyone else for. Your bashing people for dumping on JJ, but instead you choose to dump on the O-line.

doc, they can't stand that despite having no running game and an interior line that couldn't block tech lineman and stupid playcalling, jj put up the same numbers that matt flynn did. Also all these dumbasses are saying he got sacked all the time, he only had 5 more sacks than flynn. He is 19 years old with some weaknesses in his game, but is farther ahead than any qb that played at lsu this early in his career.(except hodson). People on here that claim to know football actually blame jj for not having a running game, when anybody with any football knowledge knows that you run to set up the pass, not the other way around. Everybody in america could see that jj had trouble keeping his eyes down field when the pocket broke down. Its crowton's job to play to jj's strength. Crowton knew our o line couldn't hold a pocket very long so why not roll jj some? Its his job to coach that out of jj and its his job to play to our strengths. You assholes need to start to cheer for our qb rather than belittle him.

That makes me feel SO MUCH BETTER.

I recall a sign on the back of a truck on a two lane road in Mississippi, on my way to Memphis:

I MAY BE SLOW, BUT I AM AHEAD OF YOU.

That's not heartening at all.
We have bigger fish to fry.

My guess is we are doomed unless one of the redshirt freshmen QB's turn out to be the real deal in the spring practices.

JJ looked LOST sometimes in the Florida and Bama games.
I suppose his head was ringing. I dont know, really.
But he looked dazed and confused.

I want to see the other prospects, in the spring.

Its crowton's job to play to jj's strength.

It was OC crowton's job to play to Jarrett Lee's strength's then too, but instead OC called screen passes when we all cringed at the thought. I have no confidence in OC crowton to make the right choices to play to guys strengths. I believe crowton's entire idea of tactics consists of 'contrarian'. That's "do the opposite" of what is sane.

I wish to give Don Long credit.
When JJ was a senior in high school, and we still had Britney Perilloux, Don Long said JJ would be ready his junior year.

So... with a good spring, and summer, maybe JJ will be a good 4 star QB in the fall.

Have you read TigerFan55555's posts? I mean the ones that make sense? I'll share.

How about this nugget:

quote:

lets see, I started as a senior in 5A at QB, the guy in front of me is still in the NFL, Played D-1 baseball at a Rival school, drafted in the 7th round. played 3 years, 1 in Japan. Had three surgeries, retired, and went back to school...fyi
