quote:How many of the 22 last year were Lee's fault?
It would be absurd for any one to say the the 30 sacks were 100% Jefferson's fault. But if you truly watched some of the plays develop (or not develop in many cases) you would see that saying that only 5 or less sacks were Jefferson's fault is equally absurd!
What about the 30 sacks taken in 2007? All Flynn's fault?

it doesn't matter how many stats or facts are presented, rantards have already made up their mind that jefferson sucks/is the problem/needs to be replaced, etc.
when the o line isn't running smoothly, no qb, no playbook is going to work well. the question isn't jefferson's mechanics or crowton's playcalling, it's why is the o line struggling. get that fixed and lsu has at least one less loss this season.

what I am saying is that JJ was obviously better in his first year starting than JR was.
so your comparing the same data for two totally different varibles? Human varibles at that? Just because JJ (going by you) had better numbers than JR in their same class years has absolutely zero effect on the outcome of JJ's play...and you actually believe that your a logical person?

Well, if the coaching staff would've had the same knee-jerk reaction with JR as you're having with JJ we wouldn't even know that Jamarcus was one of the best to ever play at LSU. He was lights out in '06 and I promise you, if there was a playoff, NO ONE wanted a piece of that team at the end of the year.

Because they are two different QB's!!! Different intangibles!!! how many times did you see JR get hit while throwing the ball 35 yards down field on target! I dont know about you but I saw a shitload...No way on god's green earth JJ would be able to do something like that..

not suprised, ppl hate on jj to much, he was just a sophmore and really never got to play the year before... He will be good next year, he will be like a whole new player... JJ is legit, Give him a chance

Stud, I dont have to insinuate anything. I'll just post what the NCAA states as a fact. Look at who is at #63, and who do they have at #67. You're starting to look idiotic in your defense of JJ based on stats. Oh and BTW, Tulanes QB, is a soph.
Also, he passes for 197 yards per game started. JJ? 178 per game. I guess that's due to the 2nd string All-American linemen that Tulane recruits, and the 1st rd. WR's
Thats gotta be the biggest fricking BOOM! on the rant...

bottom line most people won't be staisfied with jj no matter what. Think about it. Lots of people really think matt flynn and mausk were better than jr. What does that tell you. They don't know shite about football

1) Not even close

Were you at LSU's practices? What specifically was Stud doing that was wrong.? What is his philosophy? Should they zone block more?
Did he teach proper technique re: fold blocking, pulling etc? Did he have guys playing out of position or better lineman sitting the bench?
Was your coach a good line coach? Since you know the coaching was bad, please respond to my questions!
yes, please answer...

the new defense (not JJ) led LSU to better record and we've been close to the top couple of teams in the SEC/Nation
fixed it for you.

Last yr JL was crucified for everything. Interceptions thrown over the middle should not be returned for tds. It;s up to the offense to turn to defense and prevent tds. Every high school football player is taught this. Two pick sixes bounced off receivers hands into the defenders w/o effort by receivers to tackle the Interceptor.JL was bashed constantly. The reason JJ is being defendedso strongly is because you flute players predicted him to be second only to Tebow this yr based on the GT game where he completed passes rolling to his right yet was not very impressive dropping back.
JJ should be much better next yr allowing the coaches to be more agressive in calling plays. If you throw 5 to 7 yd passes, you will have a higher comp percentage. Look at the West Coast and Spread offenses. The Big 12 last yr was a prime example.QB ratings don't tell the whole story.
JJ,like JL.was an inexperienced QB last year.He should be able to run the offense better next yr as the speed of the game will slow down for him.
not a bad statement at all, and JJ should be better, I just dont have the confidence that he will be better...I dont believe that he thinks fast enough...I hope Im wrong but I dont see it..
