I do love how it’s the “greatest rivalry in sports” and both sets of fans routinely pull for each other.

AU has a legitimate reason. They need help to win the west. LSU losing is their best hope.
A huge number of our fans were pulling for Florida last week. And for no reason. We control our own destiny.

I guess technically they're not eliminated, but it would be dumb for their fans to pull for their "biggest rival" based on a pipe dream.
LSU would need to lose to Bama & A&M, Bama would have to lose to MS State and then get beat by Auburn to force a 3 way tie at 6-2, at which point Auburn would win the tiebreaker by having the best record against Western opponents.

Yes if we lose.
But I am not going to assume that we are going to lose and pull for Florida "just in case."
