That's what I thought. Why would I waste time with another thread when I can ask you in this one when a whole myriad of topics have been covered all ready? You just don't want to answer the question simple as that.

No, I want you to realize you don't have a valid reason as to why Petersen is an improvement to Miles.

Heaven's no your not required to in order to have an opinion. But I was just curious because people that have never played or coached often say some interesting things that could possibly show that they don't know much about the game other than what they see on TV.

In the past two years folks can certainly point at several statistics (proper or skewed) to prove that there are several better coaches than Miles but Nutt being one is risible.

At least Nutt is a winner

I don't know where you get the statistics that prove Nutt to be a winner in comparison to Miles !!
Are you going by SEC games/percentage/Bowl wins/Bowl appearances/Titles?

and gets almost all he can out of each of his squads each year.

As long as he doesn't have to recruit them and the previous coach has stocked it.

The guy has been to multiple New Year's Day Bowl games and has one a couple of SEC West Championships

I can point to multiple SEC coaches including Miles who have done that and more (much more)

I personally think based on what I KNOW and what I have SEEN in person and watching as a spectator on TV that Peterson would be a much better game day football coach than Les Miles plain and simple.

oh wow, he's won the SEC West

How many SEC Championships does Nutt have?

And he sure didn't look like a winner on Saturday

The Difference Between Boise State and LSU

Boise State: better than average talent
LSU: excellent talent.

Boise State: outstanding play calling
LSU: calling plays with one hand tied behind the back...blindfolded

Boise State: discipline and preparedness (excellent coaching)
LSU: underprepared and inconsistent (subpar coaching)

again at Boise being disciplined.

This place would have a field day if Boise's performance was that of LSU's.

Well disciplined Boise State Senior Safety:

quote:

When Boise State University officials suspended senior safety Jason Robinson earlier this month for a violation of team rules, they didn’t say what that violation was.
Now it appears that violation involved a bar fight where Robinson is accused of breaking another man’s jaw last month.
Boise police arrested Robinson Monday on a warrant for felony aggravated battery - a charge where the suspect is accused of causing “great bodily harm, permanent disability or permanent disfigurement” to somebody else.

No, I'm saying in general he is a winner he wins everywhere he coaches. I'm not saying Nutt is a great coach but a good coach. I'm also not saying I wish he was at LSU because I don't I was just stating an opinion based on past experiences. Do people forget he was 2-3 against Saban and is 3-2 vs Miles, winning 3 in a row? Last time I checked that's 5-5 the last 10 years 6-6 overall. Not bad for a bunch of far less talented Arkansas and Ole Miss teams.

Besides Ole Miss where has that happened? He won with Danny Ford's guys at Arky and continued winning with his own players.

So can I

Good points Easter Bunny but how many was he supposed to win at Arkansas? It's not like you have the same resources up there as you do in Louisiana. He sure has been a thorn in our sides for a long time

Yeah and God knows Miles hasn't had any of those type of issues in his tenure at LSU.

great article Golfer...

REALLY??? Give me a break dude. You mean to tell me, you wasted your time to look up a random article of a barfight involving ONE player to try to prove that Boise State's team as a whole lacks discipline???

OKAY...how bout this one???
PERRILLOUX 1
or maybe this one???
PERRILLOUX 2

...want me to keep going??? cause I can. And this was MILES' huge recruit

I like the way Petersons teams play, and execute. I don't like the way Miles have for the past two years plus one game, UNC. LSU has all the ingredients to put together a great season, but I don't have a lot of confidence after watching the past two seasons.

Would I want Peterson over Miles? Probably not right now. Ask later in the year. I love Miles ability to recruit, the talent alone keeps LSU in pretty good company. Will see what the future holds and how LSU performses, I may be prone to change my mind.
