There is no excuse for what happened last night. I’m by no means saying fire CPM, but last night was embarrassing. The Tigers didn’t show up or give any effort whatsoever. Pathetic.

But you're asking at what point does it become unacceptable. If it is unacceptable, wouldn't that mean it's time for a new coach? If it's happening at other schools as well, how do you go about replacing the coach? I'm asking honestly because I don't know. What other coaches that would be qualified for the job are out there that aren't losing midweek games?

What do you think should be done about this horrible, inexcusable loss? Fire Mainieri now? Fire him at the end of the season no matter what? If something is wholly unacceptable to you, what do you think should be done to remedy it and make it acceptable?

Pretty much. The only thing that I agree with the Anti-CPM crowd is maybe hiring a proven hitting coach for next year.
Things that I find annoying
-Hire a new hitting coach right now...in the middle of the season.
-Fire CPM right now...even though we're a top 10 team & tied for 1st in the SEC West.
-Fire CPM at the end of the year...even if he wins the CWS this year.

I don't like losing games...any games...especially to teams like Southern... period.
I'm not going to get drawn into a lengthy discussion with you about the X's and O's of beating teams like the McNeese's and Southern's of the world. If you're cool with losing to these piss ants on a regular basis...great. Tells me all I need to know about you as a fan.
I'm sure you thinks it's ok to give SS to illegal immigrants as well.

I agree with the premise. I’d love to have the best hitting coach money can buy. But with the NCAA’s rules on paid coaches, who do we drop in order to go hire a proven hitting coach? Cain? Dunn?

This is what's odd to me. There aren't any coaches that fit this description & they know it (well, maybe they don't). Yet, they still want CPM fired for it.
Yea lets fire CPM for losing midweek games & then hire another guy that also loses midweek games. After that, start calling for the new coach to get fired after he starts losing midweek games.
