Yeah..I wish LSU would have at least cleared the property by now. It is a darn shame that the venerable ole stadium is a rat infested catastrophe. But I think LSU is working on plans to redevelop that whole area including the housing next door to be something very nice with business outlets.

That would be cool. The definently need to put some kind of memorial up. Maybe a bronze intimidator or something.

though, if LSU were smart, they'd build a parking GARAGE

you're right. But can you imagine how long it would take to get out the top floor after an SEC game?

I wouldn\'t call something being torn down as abandoned...the way the title is portrayed is that LSU let it get to that current condition.

that really hurts to see it that way. well at least the bleachers from the baselines will be put to good use. they are now the bleachers at LSUA's new baseball stadium. the old box will live on, in a way.

So they didn't let it get like that?

Is it bad that I say it "Alex Box" and not "Alec Box?"

Get like what? They are dismantling it...it looks like a building in the process of being dismantled.

if they build a parking lot it will probably extend the small parking lot that is already there, the lot will probably be fore commuter students, students who have a commuter tag. Ive herd they may do other things then a parking lot though

come on, man.
it was in a complete shambles and "abandoned" looking long before the actual demolition started

if you want to split hairs about a thread title, knock yourself out
but the Box has been that way for a while & it's a total shame

They were still using it in May for some little league stuff I believe.

So 6 months for the crews to remove the valuable stuff is a while??
