A 10 win season is EVERYTHING. DON'T you remember the 90s???!?!?
Yes I remember the 90s. They ended 14 years ago. This is the present. When a team has won the MNC twice between the 2003 and 2007 seasons, and went 13-0 ranked #1, before going belly-up on 1/9/12, a 10 win season is not everything. It's like treading water, or maybe even like a slight backslide.

Don't think so? Tomorrow don't expect to find 10-win/3 loss LSU in the top 10 in anybody's poll.

Well no shite. We were ranked #8 and lost our bowl game. You are really going out on a limb there.

Spot on. People need to realize this is a bigtime program whose revenue and facilities have superseded many of the other powers that were once superior to us. There is no reason we can't compete for championships nearly every year now.

I hear what the poster of this rant is saying, it is disappointing to see so many juniors leave early it can devoid the team with a lack of leadership which can be crucial. I can totally understand when a Mingo & Montgomery go as both are projected in the first 2 rounds of the draft and also Logan because of where he might draft. But Minter if he has another year of 100+ tackles it will improve his draft stock tremendously. Reid makes sense I guess, even though he didn't play up to his 2011 standards I pretty much figured he was gone this year anyway. Simon I have no clue what he is thinking, but he definitely could improve his draft status with another year.

Did LSU do a fantastic job this year recruiting, absolutely. But I am still worried losing all that junior leadership on the defensive side of the ball will hurt us next year no matter how much talent they have behind them.
