Texas baseball This weekend

So tonight was a great tune-up game, Texas supposedly tough this year. Hope this momentum carries

I know nothing about them, but looking at them online they went 2-1 vs ULL, only scored 3 runs per game on average.
Looking at their everyday guys, 5 of the 8 hit .200 or worse last weekend. Maybe they suck at swinging the bat, or maybe it was an off weekend. I have no clue.

Texas has 20 new guys on their roster this season. We should’ve won the second game and the series after our clutch closer blew the save in Game 2 after we fought back to take the lead in the 9th. Their bats weren’t as strong as I expected except for their 3-5 batters who have some power to their swings. But that’s also a testament to our pitching staff. I will say, though, that they have a very good pitching staff as well. Their Friday night guy will most likely be a first rounder when it’s his time to enter the draft. He was the first Texas pitcher since 2011 to get 10+ wins last season.
All in all, if your bullpen doesn’t play like they did last weekend and your bats get going; a series win shouldn’t be that tough to get.

I went to a couple of the games in Austin last weekend. You basically summed it all up; their bats aren't too threatening.
However, Kingham looked great on Friday. Their Sunday starter threw pretty well, too, even though ULL ended up winning.

I think our SP bounce back and keep us in the game long enough for us to see their SPs more than once and we finally break through. LSU takes 2 out of 3 and the Foghorn Leghorns have message board meltdowns like we did last weekend
