Nice to see their fricking hypocrite coach letting the guy play after bashing Miles for not suspending Hill. What a clown.

Now, I'm sure there was NO WAY it was Devonte's alkyhol ( ), but apparently the university is investigating the situation further to determine what the actual case was. (aka one of our star defensive players needs to play against LSU so lets see if we can let this slide). I still think the suspension holds, but we'll see what happens.
Patterson's comments from both yesterday and today reflect his decision to keep the suspension despite the fact that Fields is appealing the suspension with the school. His statement that it is not his decision, means exactly that. Patterson if overruled will not be happy with the decision to lift the suspension. Patterson has a long track record of putting players development as men above his need for them on the field. And despite that he has one hell of a winning record at TCU!
To once again correct the multitude of ranters, Pachall was suspended for a DWI (alcohol) arrest. This was not unlike T-bob's alcohol incident on campus for which he suffered minimal repercussions (not a single game suspended). However, in an effort to help the person Patterson met with Pachall and his parents and decided 1 yr removal from team and mandatory drug and alcohol rehab. Pachall did not test positive for meth or coke. In an unforced admission, Pachall admitted to having tried cocaine and ecstasy once each in the past when he was questioned 18 months ago surrounding the drug scandal on campus and his failed MJ test. ALL of the players that were arrested during the drug issue were dismissed from the team. Pachall was drug tested weekly after that incident and was negative consistently. Alcohol however, as many of you know, is easily acquired and not tested for on a urine drug screen.

This is one thing I always appreciate about Coach P is he's consistent always. Easily the toughest coach I ever played for, but his kids respect the hell out of him.

Are you surprised? Dude is a baby and he's throwing a hissy fit because Les won't suspend Hill for the TCU game like Gary wants.

Had offers from Zona, Michigan, OU, Mizzou, and Aggy, among several others.

Miles gets blasted for not booting Hill for a sucker punch but Patterson reinstates his meth head QB because hes scared after going 7-6 in his first year in a real conference now toying with lifting a suspension because he's starting to realize LSU is gonna steamroller his arse in a few weeks and he's their dream coach
did you hold your breath the whole time you typed this sentence (like it reads), or is the run on for effect?

Yeah I live in Burleson so I know all about TCU hell I went to a couple games there. I almost went to college at TCU but it's too freaking expensive though. And yeah I heard a lot about him before last season

Lots of reading comprehension problems here.

Really want him to play. No excuses that way.
Except the 3 other starters that quit the team a month before the first game.

Bleeding Purple, why wouldn't Patterson simply sit Fields for two games if the school overturns his suspension?

we say this every year. It's dumb. If UNC would have all there starters back we would have lost

UNC? Yeah that game bout gave me a heart attack, especially that last play.

If any TCU fan makes excuses for a loss here, don't buy it. It's not a game we're supposed to win anyway, as far as conventional wisdom is concerned. And only 1 of the 3 we lost was projected to start from the way fall camp has been shaping up (Fabuluje). The other two just cause a loss of depth at their position.
My fandom and history of the program the last decade make me expect a W in this game, though I am not at all optimistic about that happening. I think it'll be a tough game and come down to a field goal's difference or so either way.

He potentially could. However, he like most people in this world is employed by someone else and has to answer to that person(s). His hand may be forced by AD.
I am a devout TCU and LSU fan. I was born and raised in BR and have enjoyed at least one game in TS every season for the last 30 years with the exception of 3 yrs span when school/work schedule would not allow me to travel. LSU did not have the program I was interested in when I was choosing schools and I ended up at TCU. Since first stepping on campus 15 plus yrs ago, I have attended a minimum of 2 TCU games a year. I have credits from both universities but my degree is from TCU. I truly bleed purple for both schools.
I honestly believe both schools have national championship potential this year, assuming the cards and injuries fall right.
I refuse to be one of "those guys" wearing a T-shirt made from one half of a TCU and one half of an LSU shirt. I will not pull for two teams in this game.
Since TCU is my Alma Mater and since a loss will be less damaging to the NC potential for LSU, I will be cheering for the Frogs.
As a side note I will be sitting in an LSU section as an opponent fan for the first time so that should be interesting. My belief is LSU fans will represent as passionate fans of the sport and their team without the overwhelming belligerent rudeness and crass claimed by some of our past opponents. The section I sit in TS has always treated opponent fans with the respect they deserve.
