I think you are looking deeper into it than it is. Im sure it was more of a frustration move after walking in the lockerroom after a game, and seeing a few players on their phones.

Dude they’re laughing in the dugout and dogging it on the base paths at 3-12 in the SEC. If they care they don’t show it well

You are complaining about them laughing in the dugout while on the fence watching the game in the first or second inning. Id be more concerned about the team if they were pouting.
