Is it against the law or some set of rules for LSUs defense to ACTUALLY TACKLE SOMEONE? They seem to do a lot of pushing or trying to just get in the way. Are they afraid of getting hurt or what ? More than a couple seem to AVOID the runner coming near them. High schoolers make more hits and tackles. MAYBE SOMEONE should be out there recruiting players that WANT TO HIT someone.

Defensive stats are revealing.
Weeks had 8 tackles, swinson, three. No other DL or Lb had more than ONE..
Major Burns, at the Star position, recorded No Tackles for the game.

Penn had one solo tackle…..a linebacker…had but one tackle.

Penn is too slow to get to the ball carrier in order to tackle them.
Toviano had 2 tackles in 2 series. Sage had 1 tackle and played the whole game
