stafford also threw 3 less INTs in total his freshman year anyway and he was a true freshman not a redshirt.
Also, i'd imagine he atleast made an effort to get on the camera screen and pretend like you want to make the tackle during at least one of his INT returns, something JL did not do.

The funny thing is you probably believe this. By the way Stafford suck he sucked every year at Georgia. Oh but he got picked 1st Shutup!!!

the reason there is so much jl hate is because people comeon this site and think he should be the starter.they act like they didnt see a game last year.remember texas started mccoy as a freshmen oklahomo lost thier starter and sam bradford steped up as a freshmen.j.lee threw 16 int. i think lee is a good person,and may improve as a qb.but lsu is a power house football program that can do better than jl,who by the way couldnt beat out hatch.so you say stop the jl hate ,well i say quit praising this kid like he islsu best qb and maybe people will forget about the freshman.i know im trying.

JL needs to live in the film room this year, which apparently he didn't last year. Either Crowton is a terrible QB coach or JL just didn't put in enough time looking at game film, because he never got better as the season progressed. The light never came on.(which happens to a lot of RS freshmen)
I'm more worried though, if Lee is a "Gamer" or not. That "Deer in the Headlights" look is mostly from inexperience, but for all those that were in existence back in the 80's and got to see Tommy Hodson play, you've got to admit that watching Hodson and Lee play as RS Freshmen, is like night and day.
The coaching staff didn't have ANY choice after Hatch got hurt but to play Lee because Jefferson couldn't run more than a grand total of about three plays from Crowton's playbook. It was sink or swim with JL.
We HAVEN'T seen enough of JJ in big time S.E.C. competition to know if he's going to be the answer or not either. Who knows what he'll do when he goes against the Florida's and Alabama's of the world. Yall all MAY be begging for Jarrett Lee before the season is over......

TheDoc says LSU's QB "situation" is better than Ole Miss' because of the depth JL provides.

jj will start for three more years of course and Lee will back up this year with Garrett redshirting....starting next season, i believe Garrett will have great chance to be 2nd string and if that happens, Lee will transfer...

Nobody hates JL. Get off it. Everyone just realizes that JJ, with only 1/10 of the experience, has played much better. Simple as that.

I agree, he was a freshman and we need him to be a good backup to JJ.
