Agreed, can't we give Stony Brook credit for beating us last year? A tremdously talented team that wasn't afraid of us. We all thought we would walk into Omaha due to the name on the front of the jersey. Experience in Omaha can be just as valuable as the disappointment from not making it there at the hands of Stony Brook. We were motivated to redeem ourselves.

Could that have SOMETHING to do with experience in Omaha? UCLA has it, we don't..... That's the point of this whole thread.

Experience didn't have anything to do with MSU, Indiana, or NC State winning their games..

Did losing to them last year hurt our chances this year?

Not the loss so much but I agree with you somewhat bc I think the Stony Brook victory lap last year doomed us last night.

actually, i think we're still recovering from that 2/22/2000 overtime loss to mcneese.

The only way this topic is relevant is if we were actually playing Stony Brook again this year.

it's obviously not always the case but many people agree having experience in Omaha is a good thing.

And I think we can all agree with that. Your point about Stony Brook still beating us is just like saying not making the NCAAs in 2006 and 2007 is beating us although we went to the CWS in 08 and won in '09.

stoney brook didn't cause ross to throw the ball into right field or bregman miss the ball at short

First off everybody blames that ball going into right field on Ross which can go 50/50. I think Katz should have come off the damn bag and caught the ball instead of trying to stretch it out and make the play.
