I'm embarrassed to say that I never took the time to figure out how they calculate ERA. I was never a pitcher so never gave a damn about how that stat was arrived at.

I knew you werent serious at least i seriously hoped you weren't. i did that because 2.77 was wrong. Kim's right theres a lot of rantards

I hope this isn't in reference to me. I still stand by my assertion that giving the ERA for the year doesn't make sense when it's in a game's boxscore.

You are correct. We were talking about Gausman's performance in that one game and whether he "shut them down".

No surprise here for me. LSU's bats were worse than normal and SB was on a roll.

4/25*9 = 1.44 ERA
