The only team I see that is playing quality ball, but it is against cupcakes, is Florida. The rest of the pack is a "lesser of evils" type of scenario at this point.

Stewart is such an idiot. He failed to mention the standing water on the field. The freaking Saints would not have done any better...

Bama is looking pretty stout, unfortunately.

If after 50 years, the 2 NCs within few years of each other causes this kind of ranter behavior - I am almost tempted to feel sorry for ND.
Imagine being the darling of the media for god knows how long and the self proclaimed king of college football and then having to endure this torturous drop and subsequent climb to nowhere.
Ahhhh just thinking about that makes me feel better about our games

The advantage he has over us is that he can choose to ignore stuff if he is wrong or worst case scenario - he can just do a " Gee golly I think I made a mistake" and we over analyze every single word and beat ourselves to death over it.

quote:I respectfully disagree; there is no such thing. We are the team that we are. If we are an average team, then we are an average team for the season. Every team fluctuates throughout the year to some degree, and there is no partial measure. When the season is over, the team will have been what the season showed it to have been. And if we finish the season 14-0 and National Champions, then that will mean that on September 12th, we were a great team. If we finish 3-9, then that will mean that on September 12th we were an awful team.
LSU is an average team right now.
The 2003 team was not a different team the day we played Florida, nor was the 2007 team a different team the days we played Arkansas and Kentucky. They were simply great teams having bad days. Similarly, the '93 team was not a different team the day we beat Bama; that was simply a bad team (or at best not good) having an incredibly great day.
Frankly, I believe we are a great team right now. I believe that because I haven't seen anything to demonstrate otherwise, and I believe that because there is absolutely zero point in believing otherwise. Nothing I think, say, type or believe is going to affect the actual outcomes in the least, so it does zero good to sit around feeling bummed about the team sucking; if we end up sucking, it will suck just as much whether I believe it now or not.
