I celebrate a team who overcame starter losses the likes of which I have never seen before to finish the regular season at #6.

If you would rather roll yourself up in the fetal position and suck on your thumb because we didn't get to the national title game again, go ahead.

However you want to view it, but we are more competitive with Bama right now than we ever have been. Gone are the 30 year droughts when Bama owned us at home. There will come a day when we would beg to have a coach as successful as Les Miles.

he doesnt have anything. While 3 other sec programs are scrambling to find a coach, ill be happy to stick behind the one we have.

What sec programs have won a bcs title the year after changing their coach? I cant believe some of you want to sacrifice what we have now, to be set back at least another 3 years. could be a decade with the wrong hire. Actually dont know any programs in the country other than the U that won the bcs after a coaching change.

lets look at some recent coaches LSU fans wanted. Petrino, well that worked out great for arkansas didnt it? Butch Davis, recruiting violations out the arse hole. Derrick dooley, out of a job. gene chizik, out of a job. Steve sprurrier, well he hasnt beat our current coach yet. Patterson, could be good but lost 5 games when they finally play in a conference. Jim harbough, pipe dream nfl coach. Peterson, great coach and another pipe dream. Chip kelly, congrats your 70 points a game still hasnt won you a title. dana holgerson, . Brain kelly, done an excellent job cant wait to see them play an sec team. Weis also had 3 top 10 classes at nd and is responsible for the best players currently on nds roster. Gruden, dude makes 5 mil behind a camera and hasnt coached college in 20 years and people want to throw money at this guy? Bo pelini, yeah rt. hes not even the best defensive coach lsu has had over the last decade.

Is urban a better coach? he quit Uf like a pussy and wouldnt have stayed at LSU. He is at the school he wanted to be at and would have left LSU in a heart beat.

Gave reasons for spurrier, both kellys, patterson( who is another pipe dream), petrino.

Stoops. What exactly has he done again in the last few years. Remember 10 wins isnt good enough.

Gundy, idk? If saban built this program for les, then les built it for gundy. I dont know enough about okie states wins and losses over the years. But i know they had no business losing last year. fans would want him fired after 1st season.

Tressel, i thought losing bcs championship games were unacceptable? Oh thats rt, only les miles isnt allowed to lose. he also has recruiting violations at two schools now.

Fitzgerald, dont know enough about him, big 10 sucks so i doubt he could get it done in the sec.

Tubberville, while i think hes a good coach, i wouldnt take him rt now. He was never a great recruiter and had his incident this year.

Sumlin, doing great things. But you are only saying that because of one season. And if he was our coach, hed have mettenberger running that offense not manziel. Also when he was hired, we werent firing ours after making the bcs championship game and winning the sec championship.

Charlie Strong, 23-15 as a head coach. Thats not who i want replacing les. sorry. he also hasnt won the big east yet. THE BIG EAST.

Jimbo Fisher, lolz. FSU has outrecruited LSU since 2002 and beyond. they also play in a shitty conference. they are playing a 6-6 ga tech team in the conference championship and lost to a team that just fired their coach. Jimbo fisher has now cost fsu multiple titles.

Mark Richt. First he has consistently said we have the worst fanbase he has ever encountered. He aslo has underachieved and never won a bcs title with some of the most talented uga teams ever. Georgia has twice the population of Lousiana, twice the number of recruits, and only has 1 d1 program in the state that has serious academic requirements. Yet he cant even pull in the top recruits from ga every year. they have also managed to escape playing the best teams in the west the last 2 seasons and is the only reason why they are in the sec title game for 2 strait years. remember when aub was good? USCe went.

Cruel - I counted 10 coaches on your list that won't come to LSU to coach. I want a real list not a wish list.

Sumlin and gundy may do good, don't expect the defense you are used to.

Patterson may never leave TCU, 9-3 seasons gets him 3mill a year for the rest of his life.

And there is no gaurantee a new coach would keep chavis or that chavis would even stay if the idiots in charged fired miles. A coach hes constantly praised and said is one of the best he has ever been around.

Even if a Coach came in, i wouldnt want him to be forced to keep a coach, because then its not his program, its a jerry jones or an al davis program. So you might as well say goodbye to chavis and wilson with a new HC.

Sumlin could be good. But again without manziel they are mizzou. You know how many broken plays he made into something? Imagine that same offense with mett. We prob win 3 games.

Well knowing what I know about when Miles talked to Michigan, Pellini was the best coach to contact the school about the position.

you are prob not an idiot. I just think some fans are a lil crazy. they think LSU is the best at everything and should be able to spend the most money and get the best players and best coaches. Well with 120 other programs there has to be at least one that can offer something more than LSU. And there is, i truly believe now more than ever the field has been leveled out. Plenty of programs can offer a better city to live, more money, better facilities, and better academics. What separates LSU from those other programs is LES MILES.

some might not want to come here, but if lsu were looking for a coach today, i wouldn't mind one of the names i mentioned. that's all

oh well yeah, that situation would have forced LSU into a new hire. Im not talking about that. Im talking about actually firing the guy for one of the said coaches. If Miles left for michigan, then yes imo we would have been forced into an inferior hire like pellini. Not that i dont like the guy, but i certainly think has head of a program, MILES>pellini.
