pretty sure the two two starting ends will be ken adams and sam montgomery...as per the depth chart posted today...

Davis has never amounted to anything, so no loss there. Sentimore I think will be really good before he's done, but he's only a RS Freshman, so I'm not sure if he'd start already.

Well, we didn't have a spot for Sentimore because of our 5 star, heralded DT recruit who will apparently spend this season like last: practice squad getting real players ready.

Just thought it would be interested to those here on the Rant that gave all the 'bust' statements about those two. They have been announced as the starting DE's for Bama. (Sentimore if Dareus is not cleared).
I recall lots of 'we got Davenport, who needs Sentimore' sentiment on here.

Yes, Luther Davis is supposedly starting for bama; I don't think Sentimore is the starter but I wouldn't be surprised if he was soon.
Still, I wouldn't trade Adams or Montgomery for those guys.

Who are the NFL-caliber DTs at LSU. Maybe Nevis is a late round pick, but Pep sure ain't. Davenport needs to get it going.

Hope you are right. Last I checked, none of the four players in question have played a meaningful down in the SEC!
If I were ranking, I'd probably go Montgomery #1, then Davis and then it would be a tossup b/t Adams and Sentimore. Adams is probably more ready but Sentimore has 4 years of eligibility left.
One thing is for certain, I'd trade Davenport for either of Bama's Louisiana boys.

And I don't care if Luther Davis was the 2nd coming of Reggie White, he was an arse during his recruitment and lied to the coaching staff on more than one occasion. I have no desire for him to be on this team.
Sentimore however, was a miss. Coaches thought they could slow play him until the grades were resolved, and then the hometown team angle would win. He felt snubbed though and went where they showed him the love. I'm afraid that will come back to haunt us.

I'm down with this thread...Phelon Jones is co-backup at one corner at Bama while we have some no-name freshman named Tyrone Matthews that no one has ever heard of. Kenny Bell is on the 3-deep at Bama while we're trying to work with some reject from Florida, Daniel Boone or some shite...
