i believe they have already discussed this option and reading into the advocate article, i am 95% sure they will start ranaudo, unless pm has changed his mind. read the article and you will see

So what did the Rant decide?

It wouldn't shock me if he started Bradshaw on Friday.
I'm glad you post on TD for living and not coach anything that I care about. I'll bet anything that the man paid to make the decisions starts Ranaudo on Friday and we win the whole damn thing w/ Ranaudo starting in the last game of the c'ship series. Let me know if you need a quote for your sig.

if Ross doesn't start Friday, I wont post until Aug 1. Deal?

So if we lose Friday with Ross then we definitely pitch Ranuado on Saturday and 100% eliminate him from the championship series. Which is riskier pitching him 4 or 5 innings hopefully getting a big lead and sitting him or sitting him losing and having to use him in a game on Saturday?

not sure.
But I will say this...
if we lose Friday, Coleman will demand the ball in the elimination game

We have depth at pitching! We don't need to burn Ranaudo on Friday to win a championship.
Ross has won some pivotal games for us this season. He has done nothing thus far to not deserve to pitch.
To win, we're going to need someone to step up other than Anthony and Louis. Why not give Ross a chance?

I'll take that. Have you been drinking tonight?

Some of you are overthinking this. If Ranaudo starts on Friday; he'll be ready to go on Tuesday and if not definitely on Wed.
no, youre underthinking it
i have no fricking clue why you people automatically assume ranaudo can come back strong on short rest...is it because of all the times he's done it in his career?

yes. and i have no alters. i dont see why you wouldnt start ross. coleman and ranaudo with a week's rest almost guarantees a NC. If Ross falls behind but still close on Friday, I could see Ranaudo coming in to salvage a victory making him the game 3 starter in the championship.

exactly
ross will have to make a start, thats a fact...unless PM plans on ruining ranaudo and coleman's arms

We will be facing the other teams ace on friday.I start Renaudo with a short leash. And then get all yu can out of Ross.

i think he'll wait and see who we face. UVA can flat out hit...i dont know if i run Ross out there against the cavs. If Ar Kansas, then i wouldny be suprised to see ross.

Ross!
No doubt about it, rotation is set, everyone does their job. Nothing has changed.

Oh my Lord, Yall are killing me. You're going to make me sound like I dislike Ross when that's absolutely not the case. However, I do dislkike him when Ranaudo is fresh and ready to go.
How many times this year has Ross made it through the lineup more than once w/o giving up several runs against non-omaha caliber teams. Ross is a good pitcher that needs more experience to become a pitcher that can beat a top team's top pitcher. If Ross starts on Friday I pray to God I'm wrong but he won't make it out the third and we'll need either Coleman or Ranaudo to come in to get the win. You don't start your 3rd pithcher when your first is ready to go.
I could see PM letting Ranaudo throwing 3, Coleman 3, Ross 3, and ott 1. Not necessarily in that order but if Ross starts I think the combo of Ranaudo/Coleman will have more pitches than Ross. The only problem with this is your fricked if you lose and have to play on Saturday. All that said, I think it would be a terrible decision to start anyone other than Ranaudo.

I can honestly see it either way, but would sure love to have Ranaudo for Gm-1 of the Finals.
But, after his early exit Saturday, and with the next game this Friday, can envision him rested and ready to follow up his uncharacteristic quick outing.

Pitch 'em both. Divide their innings so neither throws too much to take them out of throwing in the series, ala game 1 with Ross, Coleman, et al.

Ranaudo can start Friday and come back Tuesday night with 4 days rest: 1sat., 2 sun., 3 mon., 4 tue, 5 wed.
