someone define the SRO experience at the box as to where are you restricted to stand, etc?

anywhere on the concourse....behind the yellow line.

SRO is fine. Under the grandstand behind the seats. Don’t cross the yellow line though or you’ll get jumped by the Police

It's true though.
If you don't mind standing up, it's really pretty impossible to beat the view. Just won't have your arse in a seat. Also, for the bigger games that are packed, don't take your time getting in, or getting that good view could be a little more difficult.

You can filter down to empty seats.
You don't have to stand unless all the seats are taken.
This applies to all but the Champions Club and suites of course.
