Spring Football Practice for 2021

Spring football practice was cancelled in 2020. Mostly because states and schools weren’t yet prepared to handle the pandemic and establish protocols.
But now that protocols were established to have a football season then surely schools can have spring football practice in 2021. LSU needs it with the new coordinators.

They just played a full season against other team I don’t see any reason they can’t practice with themselves for a couple weeks.

Incoming president has discussed a dark winter coming, and incoming cabinet has already stated they want national shutdown for x period, to slow the spread.
Not bringing politics here, just seems like a shutdown is coming in some form, and would be around spring semester.
Hopefully I'm wrong and they get a full spring and summer camp. Would be great for this team

That is something that you would likely see sooner rather than later though.
I think most teams will push spring ball as late as they possibly can to give time for the vaccine to start working and numbers to come down some. They really don't need to start till like late March, which is over 2 months away.
Plus, don't forget, FCS conferences are supposed to be starting up their spring seasons pretty soon; so you'd think that if they are playing and making it work, then schools like LSU can make spring practice work.

Good point on starting it later in the spring. Agree with protocols and going through all of the positives and quarantine stuff, should have pretty efficient system down now.
No reason not to treat it just like they did 12 weeks of a season.
