Spinoff thread from the atmosphere question

Do you feel like LSU fans have lost some intensity? (no disrespect to the fan base, we are still one of the best in the country) Campus was awesome on Saturday but it feels like more of a party and less intense than it used to. Yes I know it was always a party but some of the intensity is gone. I can remember walking back to the truck after the Alabama game in 2002 after they came here and beat us and some dumb arse gump was walking the other way chanting roll tide and this Italian guy who looked like he was straight out of the mob turned around and asked him if he wanted to die, I fully believed him too. Granted I was a kid when this happened but still, it was a cool moment. Yes we dance to Mo Bamba and it gets “lit” and loud but it’s not that crazy hostile crowd anymore, the visitors probably just feel like this is just another really loud crowd, they don’t feel intimidated. I just hope we can get back to 97 and 07 Florida games type environment, in 07 when they announced the USC score followed by Hester’s touchdown that place would have lost its roof if it had one. Like I said in the atmosphere thread even pregame was a 7.5 out of 10, 10 being the craziest I’ve seen TS

I was surprising it was as cordial as it was all day long. I had fully expected the atmosphere to resemble the AU game in 2001 when it felt like a soccer riot was about to break out at any moment, but as loud as it got...and it got VERY loud...it never felt like that.
