FSU is a dumpster fire; Taggart is ridiculously in over his head.
Just why is Taggert in over his head? Is he also unqualified? He is smart enough to get a new OC but we still have the Steve.

Please be careful this may be deemed to be a cut against O for keeping Slinger. This is frowned upon.
We have the best coaches in the country, Geaux Tigers!

Ok genius. Give me the great wins of Briles or even good wins against competition like UGA, MSU, Auburn, Miami?
Lay it on me smartass.
Lay it on me smartass.

Why does it matter. I could tell you the teams they beat while he was at Baylor but you're just going to say "oh they don't play defense there." Nevermind the fact they beat several top ranked teams during that time.
I could tell you how every offense he has overseen has jumped way up in the offensive rankings.
I could tell you Ensminger has, at best , kept the LSU offense where it was when Miles left.
I could tell you all these things but it wouldn't matter because you have your mind made up. You hate Briles for whatever reason, and no matter what we say you have your mind made up. So whats the point of trying to have an honest discussion with you when you can't even be honest with yourself about our offense?

He'd have to do that to move to FSU.

Since Briles is not part of the LSU football program, and never has been, I don't give a rat's arse about his "great" or "even good wins."
As someone else already said, you don't like the guy for whatever reason, so I'm sure this won't mean a damn thing to you, but here goes.
Kendal Briles great or good wins at Baylor.
2015: Oklahoma State - ranked #4 when the game was played, finished the season ranked #20. Finished the year 10-3.
2015: North Carolina - Ranked #10 when the game was played, finished the season ranked #15. Finished the year 11-3.
Baylor averaged 48.1 points per game and was ranked first in the nation.
2016: Oklahoma State - not ranked when the game was played, finished the season ranked #11. Finished the year 10-3.
Baylor averaged 34.6 points per game and was ranked #35 in the nation.
Nothing stands out to me as far as quality wins at FAU or Houston, but his offense at FAU averaged 40.6 points per game and was ranked 8th in the nation, and his offense at Houston averaged 43.9 points per game and was ranked 6th in the nation.
This years LSU offense under Ensminger averaged 31.8 points per game and finished the year ranked #45. Keep in mind that includes a 7OT game to finish that high.
So there ya have it rob. Those wins against Oklahoma State and North Carolina in 2015 and 2016 beat the hell out this past seasons wins over a 7-5 unranked Auburn and a 7-5 unranked Miami teams you were bragging about.
And Briles offenses, no matter where he's been, runs circles around the offense that "slinger" led this past year.

Merry Christmas rob.

Did it? Really! Look at FSU now and ask yourself if Jimbo really was great for them in the long run. IMO he’s basically Chizik with recruiting skills.

Not so fast my ranter friend.
In 2016 alone Baylor lost 6 games. In those 6 games your "offensive genius" managed to get blown out in 4 consecutive games(TCU, KSU, OU, TTU) and Briles' prolific offense averaged around 26 points per game. This was in the "No Defense League" otherwise known as the Big12.
I would go by individual game but it would take too damn long to do it and nobody would read it. Sure, Baylor won a game or 2 with Briles as OC but the Wizard that is Kendall Briles led the Baylor team to the Cheez It Bowl in 2016 to finish 7-6 and somewhere around 7th in the Big 12 which has only 10 teams.
So I will say again that it amazes me that you Rantards will jump on the bandwagon of a coach like Briles and ignore the reality of his coaching career while beating down an LSU coach who has faced much tougher competition and is playing in a NY6 Bowl while Briles is on his 4th team in 4 years with a Cheez It Bowl win and a Historic loss 70-14 on his resume'.
I will also say this. If Briles was at LSU with that type of record I doubt seriously you and your ilk would be on his bandwagon.
As the saying goes, "Statistics don't lie but statisticians do". You are a "statistician".
Merry Christmas. Smartass.

Without looking up game stats, Baylor gave up damn near 51 points per game against those 4 teams. It sounds like you're blaming Briles (the OC) for Baylor's defense getting their asses handed to them.

In 2016, TCU averaged 31.0 points per game. KSU averaged 32.2 points per game. OU averaged 43.9 points per game and TTU averaged 43.7 points per game. Baylor averaged 34.6 points per game and was ranked #35 in the nation in 2016. Briles worst offense in his four year OC career.
Sure, the Baylor offense had some "bad" games. It happens. Look at a few of our games the past few years. 19 points against Florida. 19 points against Mississippi State. 24 against Arkansas. Zero against Alabama. All those games were played this year. How about 7 against Mississippi State and 21 against Troy last year. This kind of stuff happens to damn near all teams.

Hold on there a minute shitbird. No where in any post I've submitted have i claimed to be on a "Briles bandwagon." You've dreamt that up all by yourself.
Go back and read my posts. All I did was laugh at you for trying to claim that beating two 7-5 teams (Auburn & Miami) that aren't ranked as being some kind of herculean feat.
You asked me to post some examples of Briles great or good wins against similar competition. So that's what I did. You remember that don't you? Go back and read those posts again. Refresh your memory. Sounds like you need to do that.

Well, again rob, I'm not on a "Briles bandwagon." All I would like is an offense that isn't in the 80's or lower nationally. And that's we've had this year with "slinger" calling the shots. Don't be mad at me for wanting better. I'm not mad at you for settling for a poor offense.

You sound mad that you asked for a few examples of Briles "great wins" and I showed you a couple.

You're the only one being a smartass rob, but if that's the way you feel.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year back at ya frickstick.

You mean the year that the Baylor football program was under investigation for a huge rape scandal? You don't think that might have had a little impact on that season?

What "reality" are people ignoring about Briles' coaching career? I think it's fair to have reservations about if he can run a successful Offense in the SEC but you're acting as if he has already tried and failed (like some of our coaches).
You really going to credit the offense with the reason we're in an NY6 bowl?

That's the most comical thing about rob's post.
