Facts are facts. LSU either recruits second rate QBs or, more likely, they can't be developed. Just look at how much both Harris and Jennings "progressed" this year. Not. The entire QB situation reeks with a very foul odor.

Do we also ignore JLee getting a lot better and Mett? Or do we just ignore those facts to make the silly argument?

Which leads to even a better question... How are we able to convince these 5 star elite receivers to sign?
I'm mean really.
How easier did it make OBjr and JL decision to leave early knowing Mett was done?

It is all about his brother, otherwise; if he is that good, would have been smarter for him to go to USC. He may still end up at another school, long way to go.

Why would a La. kid with these facts want to go to LSU's rival Ole Miss ??????
Because no QB in their right mind wants to play for Les Miles.
This is a very simple concept

well this makes complete sense and seems to be very rational and thought out

The sooner you realize he is not from Louisiana the sooner you will get over this.

What Miles did with Russell and Flynn? Boy ain't you just sucking Miles' lollipop today? Jimbo developed those kids. It's not Miles' job to develop qbs, but to hire somebody that can. Cam is gonna do just fine developing qbs. It just wasn't meant to be for this kid to play for us.

Thanks Choctaw!!
I'm glad we can finally agree on something

That is one hell of a "butthurt" post if I've ever seen one. Aside from not even being from LA, so let's throw that talking point out, you are mad at this kid because he decided to play somewhere else than your school when your school already has an elite prospect at QB committed? And a young talented sophomore already on the roster? And that he had the audacity to make complimentary and classy statements about your school in the process? That he is enthusiastic about the school of his choice? Is this really your support for why you are mad at this kid?
Patterson is committing very early in the process and not bullshitting and stringing us along for either his own ego or to spite the program like many other top recruits have done. The kid should be commended for the way he handled committing elsewhere not lambasted.
Some of you people live in an alternate universe.

1) He's not a Louisiana kid
2) I think he's probably more concerned with Harris than Franks. He doesn't strike me as someone who wants to sit even a year, much less 2. I think he wants to be able to compete to start as a true freshman. And as polished as he is, he'll probably have a chance to do that at Olé Miss.
3) I'm not sure he's big enough to play in the NFL. Like I said, he's so polished now, I'm not sure how much better he can really get relative to being an NFL prospect. He may just want to have a storied college career, put up a ton of stats, and compete for awards. And let's be honest, he's more likely to do that in Freeze's offense.
I understand him going to Olé Miss--it makes sense for him. And I hold no ill will towards him. Nor should anyone, else you look like a petty, immature a-hole. Though, this is the rant, so...
All of this.
1) Guy has no Louisiana ties and went to calvary from a Texas school to Calvary 2 years ago. Before that he was up north or out west.
2) The guy's ceiling is very limited. I know people are in awe of him being so fundamentally sound, but he's pretty much a finished product at this point. He will go from being a system QB at Calvary, to a system QB at Ole Miss. He's almost a mirror of Aaron Murray in high school, (who was also a 5 star QB). However like Murray, he has no upside, no NFL potential (even though that isn't really necessary). The other thing I hope he shares with Murray, is the inability to win the big games. It took Murray til his redshirt senior year before he started winning a couple of big games. He was pretty much just a stat machine. I believe he's going to Ole Miss because of the system, the fact that he can start as a true freshman, and other trivial stuff 16-18 year olds find attractive in a school.
3) Yep. Freeze's offense will fit him like a glove. I see him beating out Chad Kelly before his true freshman season is up. The other guys look like typical crappy Ole Miss QBs.
Bonus
4) Franks fits LSU perfectly. Big, big arm, mobile, and plays under center already. His potential is sky high. Once he gets into college level strength and conditioning, he will get stronger and faster. Cam can tighten up any deficiencies in his game, and he should develop into a monster. My wish is for Harris to become a 3 year starter, then Franks follows that with 3 more years of high level QB play.

the fact is, Miles has not recruited one HS QB yet that has performed even remotely adequately. Cameron and Miles look to be HORRIBLE developers of QB talent.
So of all places, why in the HELL, did he pick Ole Miss? I've asked this question in different ways in replies to stupid posts like this, and still haven't gotten a response.

QBs weren't built in a day. You can say all you want about Jennings, but Harris hasn't started in consecutive games yet, nor has he had any chance to redeem himself from the Auburn debacle.
