I never would have called one there. I also probably would have never won a CWS, though. As easy as it is to look back and see a bad call, he would've been brilliant for scoring Sciambra from first on a little flair down that RF line (maybe a stretch; more likely he'd wind up on third). Ball was just a little too outside. It didn't go our way today.

The rant agrees that Javi has to go, right?
And today the Rant in all of its wisdom decided that Maineri is a moron and he has to go.
Now it wants Dunn, the guy that was roasted for calling two consecutive pitch outs, to take over.
Can LSU keep Will Davis or Alex Edward or do we pitch them out the door too?
