I'm not trying to take anything from Bama. They played a good game Nov 5th, but LSU actually played a bad game in a very hostile environment with our starting QB getting signiticant playingtime for the first time and still won the game. With the way Miles prepares his team with extra time and LSU playing as close to home as we can get, I just can't see LSU sweating it out in the 4th quarter on Jan 9th.

I agree completely. Plus, if Bama punts instead of attempting 40+ yd field goals, TM7 might pull off another Pat pete style return.

Both teams made mistakes and you could sense that everybody was tense throughout the game. That was understandable due to the hype and (at that time) perceived stakes of game. LSU I'm sure had spcific game plan as to how to attack offensively, however after the first INT and the fact that LSU probably felt like they dodged a few bullets by holding Bama to FG tries they wen't really conservative and put the game on their defense. It was almost like the offense was just kind of dipping it's toe in the water to see how they could stack up against the Bama D. After playing the game and coming out "alive", I think we'll see LSU's offense play with much more confidence the second time around.

Bama seems to overlook the possibility that perhaps LSU didn't play it's best game either. Of course 52 yard field goals are routine to them, so .....
