This is from an interview from a few years back, basically talking about the same stuff as Jordy. Stugotz tells Dickie V everybody cheats and he gets mad and hangs up.

Vitale came across as arrogant in that interview. He bragged about his awards and credentials and was completely incapable of seeing how anyone could possibly disagree with him or frame the issue in another way. Sure, the evidence against Wade is troubling--no one has said otherwise--but he roasts Wade while somehow being incapable of understanding how the texts regarding the KU situation are also pretty troubling.
