...It would have been nice to have that game plan, but the AD decided to go a different direction.
It was a great season, and we have a great coach.

Don't go overboard. UNC is better, but Duke gave them a game both times they played.

Palm Beach he is comparing the 06 Duke Team with JJ Reddick to the UNC team today.......
He is also comparing John Brady's defensive gameplan to Trent Johnson's today.

This is a terrible comparison. Here's a better one:
LSU 2009 Season: 27-8 (13-3)
*Second Round of NCAA Tourney
LSU 2008 Season: 13-18 (6-10)
*No post season
Trent Johnson > John Brady

I thought we held UNC as well as we could considering our interior defensive capabilities...they got out on a few fast breaks and hit more 3's than I thought they would, but we played about as well as I thought we should and could!

So . . . LSU wins the SEC and gets past the first round of the NCAA Tournament 100% of the time under Coach Johnson . . . would have been nice to have that gameplan the last 10 years or so . . .

Why can't you just state Trent Johnson did a great job this year without trashing John Brady.
If you really insist on comparison, why not
LSU 2006 Season 27-9 (14-2)
Final Four
LSU 2009 Season: 27-8 (13-3)
*Second Round of NCAA Tourney

But you forgot to add that 06 was a 4 seed while 09 was an 8 seed......
No doubt in my mind that only like 4 teams could have beat the Tigers today...........it's ashame we had to play for the championship in the 2nd round.
