No excuse to not beat the brakes off of State and then Auburn @ home.

Thats two top ten wins over Texas and Florida with the Auburn win being nothing to sneeze at.

It is one hell of a time to be a tiger fan. Auburn is the last domino to fall before Bama.

Cant wait.

Why would this one be bigger? LSU had just as many dominant wins in 2011 (perhaps more dominant).

Not saying I disagree, I'm just curious to know why you think itll be BIGGER and not JUST AS big. If anything, the loser of this year would have had a better shot at making the championship game than the loser of 2011 (as we thought going into the game).

I think the offense prowess of both teams will make it a more nationally-appealing game.

Besides the numbers, what really made the showdown with Ala bigger was Ga losing to SC. LSU vs Alabama is now all the talk, it's for the SEC title.

I feel this way mainly because the focus on the playoff has completely taken the focus off of bowls and whatnot. The playoff is generally much more hyped.

That, and the LSU offense is a very exciting talking point.

Except that it's not for the SEC title. For the west, maybe. But the winner isn't going play Tennessee in the SECCG.

Personally I enjoyed the hell out of that 9-6 game. I also enjoyed watching the UGA/ND slugfest this year. I'm a sucker for great, hard hitting, defense.

I do enjoy watching LSU have an offense too though.

Weve never had an LSU team average 52 points a game going into Alabama before. Ever.

We also have maybe the best QB in LSU history taking the field. This alone makes it bigger to me.

It will not be nearly as big. TGOTC featured not just the top two teams, but two teams that were head and shoulders better than anyone else in the country. These were two teams that were invincible, except for each other. That is not the case this year.

No excuse to spell brakes incorrectly.

Because the Heisman trophy is also on the line. The loser of this game will lose the Heisman as well. So that alone makes it even bigger.

See, now that's a first class response as opposed to "Grammar Nazi." Well done. Now I feel like a condescending prick.

Because they have beaten us 8 in a row...now we finally have picked ourselves up off the mat from 2011 rematch

I don't agree. In 2011, it was clear who the two best teams in the country were and they met in Tuscaloosa. This year, however, there are several teams who could make that claim (not saying that LSU isn't the best though )
