Heard from a buddy who owns a basketball he made the trip to college station with the intent to play.

This thread is so embarrassing.
So much retardation on the rant.
He was out with a concussion.
I’m friends with several guys on the team and spoke personally with tre’s girlfriend.
Don’t think he is playing tonight. Concussions are weird sometimes. They don’t want this to be a recurring issue. There are procedures in place and concussion protocols that must be followed. These are strict. The reason it isn’t out is to protect Tre, both with his injury and from other teams questioning whether or not he has passed the protocol.
At first, he was gonna push it and play tonight. But after the performance vs UT, coaching staff is much more comfortable sitting him. The goal is 100% to win the SEC.
Wade told me personally how much of a boost he thinks this situation will he come March. The guys got to play without tremont and proved to themselves and the opposition that they can win even without him. It was an incredible boost of confidence. He said that it was a huge learning experience for Tre. He now knows he doesn’t have to do it all himself and can play more within himself.
This is 100% true. It’s amazing how mad everyone on this board has gotten. I don’t want to doxx myself, otherwise I’d explain how and why I’ve been able to get close with the team.

Yeah he is almost certainly full of shite. But I do agree with the notion that the coaches maybe don't hate that the team is having to come together and prove to itself that they can win without Tre.

I don't understand why this is a hard concept to grasp. For one, what I've heard is that it happened early in the game, and there was no concussion even done, so it kind of looks shitty. Two, why would we want other teams to know Tre has a concussion?

I for one appreciate it. I am not as close, but know some things, and I've heard the same thing. When I saw you post exactly what I had already heard, I knew 100% my sources were correct. It just gets so annoying hearing the damn soap opera stories that get flung around here.

By putting the pieces together by all the clues we have, i agree, he probably had some sort of illness/concussion that lead to him missing the game and being questionable for a return tonight.
However, his comments about talking to Wade personally smell like shite.

While I have ZERO reason to disbelieve you, why would Wade not just come out and say he had a concussion? My only guess would be a CYA for the fact he continued to play in the UF game after suffering a concussion (if he in fact suffered in the game). But that's just speculation.
Again, I'm not saying you're wrong, but Wade is talking about him being given an IV in an attempt to play on Sat. would obviously be irrelevant if he was being held out as a precaution for a concussion. It just seems like a lot of unnecessary lying (or at least withholding of information) to cover the "real" story.

Youre going to have to forgive me for not automatically accepting an anonymous poster on the internet is a legit insider. I guess there's always a chance he really does have these extremely close ties to the program, but most people I know with actual connections and information don't go running to message boards with said information

Probably knows someone that knows someone and heard the same stories that you have, a concussion. Not a personal conversion with Will Wade. If he is in a position to be having personal conversations with the head coach, he doesn't need to be posting on Tigerdroppings.

I think Ice maybe doesn’t have connections he says (but maybe) but I believe the gist of his story.

it's not that hard to understand both things as being true - he hit his head pretty hard on the floor early in the Fla. game, but no-one initially thought it was that serious... he had nausea from the as-yet undiagnosed concussion, several days later, thinking it may be a flu bug, so the fluid IV.... further analysis reached the conclusion the subsequent symptoms didn't seem like flu, and they figured out the head-whack must've caused a concussion that was not immediately evident....
