because they were pretty fn bad at times

I was trying to be polite by using the word “inconsistent” instead of bad. But you are correct they were awful at times last year!

But that is where the experience and the synergies of working together all last year should be cleaned up.

I know this is going to sound crazy, but I actually think they could win the Oline award again in 21.

There is zero negatives about a veteran O line who have played together before

Not trying to be pessimistic but I expect at least one to be suspended and at least one to be injured to start the season in 2021

Going to find out if Cregg is a good coach or LSU is making a huge mistake keeping him.

But it ain’t so cut and dry cause it wasn’t like this Oline played consistent all year, so that is a concern for me. But that is what having a veteran senior laden line cleans up, usually the inconsistencies.

It isn’t a given that we will see major improvement, but there is reason for some optimism. We saw a lot of improvement from an also inconsistent line in 2018 to a very good one with 3 future NFL guys last year. Experience and continuity are more important for an O Line than any other position group on the field.

It also looks like we will have a real on-campus off-season this year. That should really help with development and with strength and conditioning. We had some guys on both lines who were clearly out of shape last season.

If it’s more of the same, then Cregg has to go. But I have a feeling he knows he’s coaching for his job next year. Hopefully he makes it count.
