So, Was Nuss Scared to Run That QB Sneak? I Think That Was Obvious

You all know what I'm talking about. Key moment of the game that ended up working out for LSU, but it was a disaster of a sequence, marred by a QB and OC that play scared.
Third and three, LSU down by 2 scores. We run and get two and a half yards. 4th and short. In this moment, most well-coached teams would have hurried up, lined up, and run a quick QB sneak for an easy first down.
What does this team do? Huddle up. Long time for play to come in. Nuss lines up with about 10 seconds on the play clock under center. We ran the QB sneak against SLU three times and it worked for 2-3 yards each time. Clearly going to do it now since Nuss is under center. Nuss gets to the line, freaks out because he realizes he may actually get hit, and then wastes the second, valuable time out.
BK is lit. Sloan is dumbfounded. Both clearly said "what the frick are you doing".
LSU comes out of the time out, then false start. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Then we convert on fourth and 6, score a TD later with a run, then the amazing two point conversion.
Either way, that sequence alone told me everything I needed to know for the rest of the year. Our QB is scared and plays scared. Constant floaters off the back foot, bailing on the pocket early. Won't take easy rush lanes for 5-7 yard gains even with his 6 second 40 speed. He's scared or worse, he's playing not to get hurt for the draft.
He is now officially not "it".
Any half decent mobile QB that can hit 60% of their passes 15 yards in would be an upgrade over what we have now. This isn't a joke. He's worthless with any pass beyond 15 yards. Find a guy that can complete 25% of their passes beyond 15 yards along with the other two attributes above and we win the game yesterday.

That TO was brutal. Nuss has 0 feel for the game. Crazy for a 5th year senior son of an NFL coach

He was running out of time. Clock was at zero. Kelly yelling at the player was unjustified. Camera showed Kelly yelling at the O line. Several were just looking away. He may have already lost this very talented team.

Absolutely, but his OC doesn't do him any favors either.
That should have been a play called in immediately, with no personnel changes so OM could not get a break.
Nope, we huddle, then line up in an obvious formation. I think if the play goes off we get it, but nope. Nuss is a scared pussy. Simple as that.

I don’t think we get the first either way.

Another griping point. Seems like it's normal for this offense to not get lined up until <15 seconds left on the clock.

Some will come in with the excuse that he is hurt, but that is bullshite.
IF he is so hurt that he cannot be effective, then the adults in the room need to sit him. If an injury is not the issue, then he still needs to be sat because he is not mentally there and chickenshit, as you outlined.
Don't give me the "draft status" excuse either, he is tanking it himself.

Not really.

Yes, because he stood there over five seconds and got scared.

Kelly sucks but this was justified. Nuss clearly pussed out.

Anyone who actually watched knows he chickened out. On a sneak, you snap the ball as soon as the line is set, which any decent qb has control over. The no time excuse is complete horse shite.
