I mean I could Just be a situation where they don’t know the offense enough, but they still could get 3-4 plays designed to get them the ball a game.

Sullivan is on a one-year contract. He's essentially being payed $450K to consult and work with Joseph on being a WR coach.
Not going to be a matter of firing him, deal was mutual, he's retiring after this season.
The two big questions are whether Joseph can handle the job by himself and who replaces Sullivan and at what position. I know who I'd hire. Kendall Briles as QB coach and OC in waiting. But, I would've done that last year. Briles can coach up QB's and gives LSU a much needed presence in Texas on the recruiting trail. Makes too much sense.

So this tells me they are having issues getting open
Well when you have less than 2 seconds to throw it doesn't give routes time to develop.

With how sporadically they play I'm surprised Chase and Marshall have been as consistent as they have been. And I can't help but wonder how much more developed they'd be going into the second 1/2 of the season had those two, the #1 and #2-3 WR's in the country coming out of high school, would be if they had not had to sit and watch the inconsistent upperclassmen get so many game reps ahead of them and had developed more of a rapport with Burrow>

well you dont want to show auburn/bama/georgia/etc. to much of the offense so they can gameplan.
That's always been a dumb idea unless you start with a SLU and a excuse to cover up a poor offense.
