How many of you will be pissed/surprised if Jarrett Lee is HEAD AND SHOULDERS better than Jefferson in the spring game?
I will be surprised but not pissed.

i dont see how he can come out in spring and be head and shoulders above any of them...all of them are physically talented, just gotta find out who the toughest one is...the one with the coolest head...

Im suggesting letting players decide by their efforts on the field.
clueless?
your blowing and blind faith in JJ is the only thing that looks foolish pal.

Then why did JJ start oh wise and mighty Jrich11?
because j lee got hurt. and when jj came in he had a bad game against arkansas but lit it up against georgia tech.
if j lee starts that georgia tech game, he's the starter this year, anyone disagree with that?

if you cant get rid of the ball in 5 seconds, its your fault, if you cant see a blitz coming and get rid of it in 3 seconds to a hot route, its your fault
this is probably the smartest thing i've ever heard on this rant. it is a qbs job to make checks, audibles, hot routes, things like that. watch that la tech game, lee did it, td to laffel was a hot route, now why didnt jefferson do it?
look, no one is calling for lee to start. i defend the guy because people think he can't play dead. they both have a ton of talent and both have what it takes to win the west.
whichever one wins in the spring can start, i have no problem with either.

Obviously, but does Lee know its a qb's job not to turn the ball over. You quote the La Tech game where he threw one td. What about the pass he threw after coming in for JJ. You know this past year we are on our own 5 and he throws it right to the defender and TT has to save his arse or it was ANOTHER pick six.

Why would it bother me? If one QB is head and shoulders above another, then the choice is easy. It's only when there is no clear difference that the choice becomes difficult and might provoke strong emotions. I've always thought that Lee had the potential to be a good QB. He kinda got thrown to the wolves his first year and I'm sure his confidence took a big hit. Had Perrilloux stayed here, Lee would have had time to develop with little pressure and could have easily turned out to be another Matt Flynn. (Still might, for that matter.) On the other hand, I think JJ has lots of potential as well. He's shown some flashes; now if he can continue to develop AND if Crowton can figure out to take full advantage of his specific talents, I think he could be very, very good.

it doesn't really matter, he can't get hit and he has already shown that he can't handle it against a poor, injured team (La. Tech).

It is just funny how 1 QB can improve so much but no one else can.
Also JJ starting record 10-5 JL starting record 5-3 Great differece being JL starts were mainly SEC games
I actually think JL regressed after watching him vs. Bama and La. Tech. We were winning one of those games on JJ's record until Lee came in.
And it really isn't that great of a difference. JL's wins were against MSU, USC, Tulane, La. Tech, and Troy.

I didn't and Lee didn't start the game. So fricking what? He did start the Tech game this year and we all saw how improved he was from 2008.
Another clueless clown.

If Lee was head and shoulders above JJ, I would be reciting Henderson's comments on pigs and hell. But, that would be great and hope we blow through the SEC all the way to the Crystal Football.
From what I've witnessed, we lose the bowl game on 2 pick sixes and JJ starts '09.
I'd be happier than a pig in shite if Lee would be almost equal to Jefferson just so we'd have decent efn b/u QB.
Nobody wants Lee to fail dudes, he just does.

you really seem to have a hard on for race-related debates. Why don't you take the worthless "you all just want him bc he's white" bullshite somewhere else, ok? It really is irrelevant to the topic at hand despite you and others' pathetic efforts to turn this quarterback discussion into a race thread.
I don't give a rats arse how many posts you have. You're an idiot for some of the off the wall posts you put out there...

This whole thread was more of a simple question...what if lee is more impressive than jj? I'm not saying he will be, but he sure has all the tools to lead our team should jj lose the job. Don't get me wrong, I want THE BEST qb to play.
I'm just kind of aggrivated that some of you don't realize that we have TWO very talented quarterbacks with a long time over the spring/summer to improve.
Everyone has bad games. I am in no way making an excuse for Lees performance against la tech, then again I think he will continue to learn and improve. I just don't like the fact that some of you talk so much shite about an LSU PLAYER who wants to help the tigers just as much as anyone else.
If Lee somehow plays, somehow gets a starting job for LSU and overcomes all the shitty remarks, he'll never amount to anythings, etc I hope you frickers that bashed him Dont come back and try to vouch for him
