Some of you crack me up..I mean Jesus Christ...you think I won't be pumped if JJ looks a hell of a lot more improved than last year? I love how anyone who still thinks Lee has a legit shot to contribute is called"racist" "sucking Lee off", etc.
Like a bunch of fricking ninth graders with some of the comments I've seen here. I can't reasonably talk about Lee's abilities without some clusterfrick yelling that I'm starting a Lee suckfest. You know he has the abilites. I'll tell you what, I'll answer my own goddamn question. You people who bash our backup qb will be grasping for straws if Lee does ANYTHING good. I never thought I'd say it, but some of you need to rethink the whole "LSU fan" label.
It is one thing to debate the better qb like mature adults but based on some of the sad arse, naive comments I've seen here regarding Lee I'll be willing to bet many of you still shite in your pants and pray for just a sprout of peach fuzz on your faces

I dont care. Everyone said he looked better last year in the spring game but in the biggest game of the year he had his shot to come in and prove himself. Yes you can whine about PP's INT and how it robbed us of his BIG chance but we hadnt done anything with the ball since Jefferson got hurt and especially after Scott got hurt too. SO thats all I needed to see. He can look great in practice and what, but I know what he looks like in games and that isnt going to change if it hasnt changed already.

the physical tools yes. I'm not sure if he has it between the ears though. He's shown in 2 straight seasons he didn't. Hopefully if he is pushed into the starting role, something will have clicked for him and he throws 58 touchdowns and 1 interception because Lafell throws a ball over his head to an Auburn defender.

so why is it not fair to have the same opinoin of JJ?...he's had more starts then Lee and hasnt improved.

I think most people agree with this. However, you cannot just forget about 08. I just think he is scared, nervous, and doesnt have the mental toughness to play in the SEC.

Jefferson sat on the bench and didnt do anything til the end of 2008. JL had that whole year. JL had a whole offseason with a season behind him to work on his obvious issues. JJ hasnt had that full offseason AFTER a FULL season of playing time. Ill say the same thing this year about JJ if he doesnt show any clear improvement over a whole offseason just like JL didnt show any improvement over a whole offseason.
