So new to basketball as of last year and question about that 3 with the shot clock ran out

Why is it that there's several frames of the replay shown where the ball is still in his hands, where it reads 0 on the shot clock for SEVERAL frames yet he's rewarded the 3? Why did it say official review yet the game started right back up before they had any chance to go to the cameras and check the review?
And to top it off these fricktard announcers brag about how the sec has the best reviews right after that.
Hoping for some real info here among the mass of insults for asking a question.
