Let me get this straight ... the Tigers are 4-0 after having played two ranked teams and two SEC teams.

Let's recap, shall we?
LSU, the reason we all post here, is currently 8-1, having only lost to Cam Newton. Some of you negatigers predicted the following:
a loss to Florida
a big loss to Bama
being irrelevant at this part of the season, maybe only hoping to be bowl-eligible. Like Texas (in last year's national title game) or Georgia.
and oh yes, let's fire Miles/Crowton!
Lovingly slurp down some crow(ton). And swallow.

Unfortunately the SEC West,at this point, is not something that is within his control this year. Given the direction of the team , I think it is likely that chances are high for next year.
He has zilch to prove, with regards to being a good coach, his record, wins and titles back that up.
As with any other good coach, he has to continue to do what he has been doing to get to the great coach level , which would be at least one more championship and maintaining the elite status and be in the division/conf/BCS race every few years.
